چکیده

Two anion receptors with the same tripodal scaffold but different signaling groups are employed to control intermolecular anion transfer via an electrochemical stimulus, which is detected by the change of the fluorescence intensity before and after electrochemical oxidation of the ferrocenyl units.

Synthesis and anion binding studies of tris(3-aminopropyl)amine-based tripodal urea and thiourea receptors: Proton transfer-induced selectivity for hydrogen sulfate over sulfate.

Tris(3-aminopropyl)amine-based tripodal urea and thiourea receptors, tris([(4-cyanophenyl)amino]propyl)urea (L1) and tris([(4-cyanophenyl)amino]propyl)thiourea (L2), have been synthesized and their anion binding properties have been investigated for halides and oxoanions. As investigated by 1H NMR titrations, each receptor binds an anion with a 1:1 stoichiometry via hydrogen-bonding interaction...

Selective recognition of sulfate ions by tripodal cyclic peptides functionalised with (thio)urea binding sites.

A tripodal urea and tripodal thiourea with the same cyclic peptide core have been synthesised and their anion binding ability investigated. In CDCl(3), the tripodal urea self-associates whereas the thiourea does not. Neither compound shows self-association in the more polar 10% v/v DMSO-d(6)/CDCl(3). Both compounds bind strongly and selectively to sulfate ions in CDCl(3) and 10% v/v DMSO-d(6)/C...

Sulfate ion encapsulation in caged supramolecular structures assembled by second-sphere coordination.

A tripodal tris(3-pyridylurea) receptor (L) assembles with metal sulfate salts MSO(4) (M=Mn, Zn) to afford supramolecular cages [SO(4) subset L(2)] that encapsulate the SO(4)(2-) ion via multiple hydrogen bonds in a three-dimensional structure held by second-sphere coordination; (1)H NMR and negative-ion mode ESI-MS spectra reveal significantly strong sulfate binding in solution.

Selective and tuneable recognition of anions using C(3v)-symmetrical tripodal urea-amide receptor platforms.

The synthesis and binding investigations of first generation C(3v)-symmetrical hydrogen bonding urea-amide based tripodal receptors, 1-6, with various anions such as acetate, phosphate, sulfate and chloride in DMSO-d(6) are presented. Analysis of the (1)H NMR titrations of 1-6 showed on all occasions the selective formation of 1 : 1 stoichiometries.

Structure–Activity Relationships in Tripodal Transmembrane Anion Transporters: The Effect of Fluorination

A series of easy-to-make fluorinated tripodal anion transporters containing urea and thiourea groups have been prepared and their anion transport properties studied. Vesicle anion transport assays using ion-selective electrodes show that this class of compound is capable of transporting chloride through a lipid bilayer via a variety of mechanisms, including chloride/H(+) cotransport and chlorid...
